PROGRAMS

Safe Faith United offers specialized programs to meet the unique needs of inmigrant victims, women of color, and women of faith who are victims or survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence. The following provides a brief description about our programs:

 

CONSUELO PROGRAM

This program was developed to meet the unique needs of immigrant victims with limited English proficiency. The program is comprised of four essential elements: FAITH, SELF-ESTEEM, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND LEADERSHIP. The main purpose of this program is to promote the academic and economic development of of victims of domestic violence with the goal to prepare our clients to enter the labor force of the United States of America.

 

PROFILE:

The program encourages victims and survivors of domestic violence with limited English proficiency to learn English as a Second Language, learn computer skills, obtain a GED, and to assimilate into the main stream of the American culture. This program is culturally and linguistically developed to meet the unique needs of individuals from the hispanic/latino culture. The program provides participants the following:

 

a) Spiritual support

b) Guidance to increase their self-esteem

c) Guidance to deal with the police in domestic violence situations  

d) Academic assistance to enroll in college/vocational school

e) Guidance to increase their economic development

f)  Self-defense training with professional boxers

g) Coping skills mechanisms

h) Assimilating into the main stream of the American culture

i)  Leadership skills

 

GENESIS PROGRAM

This is a faith-based program dedicated to meet the unique needs of women of color and women of faith who are victims or survivors of domestic violence. The program is comprised of four esential elements: FAITH, SELF-ESTEEM, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP. The purpose of this program is to promote the academic and economic development of our clients, while strenghtening their faith in God and guiding them towards the path from

victims to victorious. The program provides participants the following:

 

a) Spiritual support

b) Guidance to increase their self-esteem

c) Guidance to deal with the police in domestic violence situations  

d) Academic assistance to enroll in college/vocational school

e) Guidance to increase their economic development

f)  Self-defense training with professional boxers

g) Coping skills mechanisms

h) Leadership skills

 

PROFILE:

The program encourages victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence to earn an education as an invaluable tool to increase their economic development and develop self-sufficiency. Participants are taught cope mechanism to deal with the police in domestic violence situations and are inspired to maintain faith in God in times of adversity and difficult situations. Genesis is a faith based program tailored to meet the unique needs of women of color and women of faith in need of victim advocacy support.


 

BENEFACTOR PROGRAM

This program was designed to provide direct victim service to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence who experienced extreme hardship due to victimization. Our benefactors are benevolent individuals who donate financial resources or in-kind donations to benefit our clients.

 

If you wish to become a benefactor with Safe Faith United, please call us to arrange your donations. The following items are needed:

  • Mattress for victims who suffered sexual assault in their homes
  • Furniture to replace the ones broken during the attack 
  • Flight tickets to relocate victims who fear for their lives 
  • Financial resources to help victims pay rent, utilities
  • Back to school items for the children of the victims
  • Hotel accommodations when shelters reached full capacity 
  • Bus tokens to assist victims with transportation to appear in court
  • Gift cards to provide clients with essential items 
  • Christmas presents for children who lost their mothers to homicide 
  • Electronics cell phones, computers, games 
  • Scholarships for victims and survivors who want to attend school
  • Other items transportation, cars, buses, driving classes for victims

 

SPIRITUAL SUPPORT GROUP PROGRAM 

We provide spiritual support to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence, including gang rape, incest, and sex slavery. This program is also available to individuals who lost a loved one to homicide related to domestic violence. Our spiritual support group program is available in English and Spanish. Please contact us to join our group session.
